About
Studio Bosque is a landscape and garden design studio creating immersive outdoor spaces rooted in nature, climate, and place. Based between the tropical landscapes of Costa Rica and a background in award-winning UK garden design, our work blends architectural clarity with lush, naturalistic planting to create spaces that feel calm, timeless, and deeply connected to their surroundings.
Working across private residential and boutique commercial projects, we specialise in bespoke landscape design,
planting design, and planting design, and construction detailing,
— crafting gardens that respond thoughtfully to both architecture and ecology. Plants are at the core of everything we do, with a strong focus on native species, tropical ornamentals, biodiversity, and immersive nature-led design.
Led by Kate Tague (formally, Kate Savill), the studio takes a considered and collaborative approach to every project, creating landscapes that feel personal, atmospheric, and seamlessly woven into the wider environment. From intimate tropical courtyards to expansive landscape masterplans, our aim is always the same: to create outdoor spaces that feel both beautifully designed and naturally belonging.

Kate Tague
Studio Founder
Originally from the Cornish countryside in the UK, Kate’s work is rooted in a deep connection to landscape, planting, and the relationship between nature and architecture. With a background in Fine Art and formal Garden Design training in Bristol, she combines a strong artistic eye with thoughtful, immersive landscape design.
Before founding Studio Bosque, Kate worked alongside internationally recognised garden designers on a wide range of projects, from large rural landscapes to award-winning show gardens. Since establishing her own practice in 2017, her work has spanned private residential gardens, boutique hospitality spaces, and RHS Chelsea Flower Show gardens.
Now based in Costa Rica, Kate’s approach focuses on creating lush, nature-led landscapes that feel deeply connected to climate, ecology, and place — blending tropical planting with calm architectural restraint to craft outdoor spaces that feel atmospheric, restorative, and alive.
